M-O-M-E-N-T-U-M R-U-L-E... (seriously check where Phelps is when Ainscough gets the ball even thought the pass was a mile forward!)
..but yeah, agree with the rest of your post!

Is the momentum rule something that stevo invented and he believes is an actual rule? or is it in the rule books?

Mis read that, thought it was about Pryce's try and how the ref, Thaler, didn't go to the screen.
Minds elsewhere.
Can see Ainscough in an England shirt, very good prospect.

| Momentum is in rule book..the direction of the pass is relative to the player making it and not the actual path relative to the ground.
A player running towards his opponents goal line may throw the ball towards a colleague who is behind him but because of the throwers own momentum the ball travels forward relative to the ground.this is not a forward pass as the thrower has not passed the ball forwards in relation to himself.
Basically they tell us to look at position of hands not ball...but you havent got time to look at everything..I give a forward if it obvious it forwards..ie player is running slowly or passing along line..sometimes it easier to let the odd slightly forward go as it evens itself up over course of season.

Eddie and his Saints bias are well known around these parts. Had it been Gardner going in at the corner, he would have been all over the decision to award a try.
Eddie is one of the main problems with Sky Sports broadcasts, he has gone from being a impartial commentator to an ego driven over opinionated self publicist.
Sadly, nothing will change as Sky wouldn't be interested in complaints on the issue.

cant understand a word of it
back to topic....on the replays, 2 angles (front and back) showed he was in touch, but the 3rd angle (from the side) showed his knee clear of the ground , determined by the shadow below his knees.
i wonder if it would have been given in a game without the floodlights on.
cracking effort anyway, and more to come imo...and i thought he was a mark 2 jason robinson weeks ago.
ps......whats miami dolphins quarterback got to do with anything?

absolutely spot on. he is so blatently biasied its embarrassing to listen to. he doesn't even try and disguise. i would love to hear what he'd be like if saints had a really poor season and wern't challanging for honours ( although will probably have to wait a while for this )

| Quote PaulM="PaulM"Outstanding again! Well done lad.
Been our standout back this season which is remarkable when you think we all thought he was unlikely to get a game. One thing I will say though, his confidence and bravery to take people on down the wing will sometimes lead to mistakes i.e. being put into touch. Hope people don't get on his back when this happens because it's so refreshing seeing someone in our colours even attempting it.'"
Incredibly refreshing! I love it he has amazing acceleration when he's already moving he may not have it from a standing start but when he's already moving jesus he's like one of them cars might take a while to get to 60 from 0. But have it moving already at about 30 and it's there in seconds. Star of the future and wholeheartedly agree with the Robinson similarity people are throwing up I said the same last night.
Colbon would never have managed that last year...
