I'd imagine they're freeing up room for Gleeson but it wouldn't surprise me at all if we announced the signing of Jamie Peacock. |

Gleeson's contract couldn't have been registered with the RFL if we didn't have cap space the moment it was agreed by the RFL. Given this it looks like Goulding to Salford gives us some space. Don't know about the Mossop deal as the timing was close to Gleeson being confirmed. |

Were we not able to accomodate Gleeson prior to these moves then the RFL would not have registered him, so i agree it seems to me new cap space is potentially opened up. I would suggest Mathers departure generated the cap space for Gleeson.
Not sure we are freeing up space to bring anyone in though, i think the moves are born out of player development rather than accomodating a new player, but if anyone else who is on the fringes of first team rugby is sent out on loan then i think the possibility significantly increases, especially if it is one of Prescott, Pryce McIllorum and/or O'Carroll. |

If we loaned a player out to Salford and they were willing to take all of his wage on board then that would free up his entire salary. If they were only willing to pay half then we would pay the other half and only half would be freed up. |
