no disrespect to young tomkins,he needs a bit more time,but tonights match prooved that we are lacking a seasoned stand off.

The lad is quality but he's playing within himself a little at the moment. He's not taking the line on enough which really is his strong suit.



I really do hope it's just early career nerves holding his running game back and not Noble.

Disappointed we played Mcillorum instead of Smith, tonight was made for his cut out passess.

A bit harsh the lad didn't let anyone down and he had the bollox to try thing's i.e little chip kicks,took the line on and didn't get caught out in defence.

I think Tomkins had a fairly good game tonight, he can't win every game on his own, i will say it again I would of liked to of seen Smith out there tonight off the bench. Leuluai needed to step up as well to put the whole of our hopes on Sam is just plain stupid.

To me Eastmond is much more suited to SL at the moment than Tomkins. In my opinion the exposure to first team last year has pushed him ahead of Tomkins, hopefully we will reap the rewards later in the year and future more than Saints will from Eastmond.



On the plus side it does look like we have 2 quality halves who have the potential to be anything in the game.

As a saints fan I think in two seasons time he will prove a worthy asset. He is a keeper. Don't sell this one to buy an aging Aussie import

to keep the present squad i would put phelps at stand off and bring young tomkins on as and when.

Stick Tomkins in the Saints team and he would be the best player the SL have ever seen. The point is Saints didn't need to rely of Eastmond tonight, all our hopes and dreams are pinned on Tomkins & Ainscough.

Disagree. Eastmond was under pressure tonight and came up with some real touches of composure and class. He is also more physically developed. Don't think he is a better prospect just has developed a bit quicker at this moment in time, both should go on to be international players.
