Dalton Grant will come in like a new signing.

Possible, but unlikely we will be in SL, so no major changes I wouldn't think. From my perspective, I think Mark O will leave, and I half expect Evans and possibly Battye to be moved on. We know we need hard, big forwards. Boudebza is only here until season end.



Like Grant, Cunningham and Garside will be like having new players. I'd like to see a pacey centre and 2no hard as nails props.

Isnt Ioane signed up for next season??? Am I right in thinking Api is not signed up yet??

I believe Api is waiting on his partners visa or similar

I think Battye is a hard worker, and I'd prefer to keep him and Evans ahead of Spencer who has consistently been injury-prone his entire career. That said, the latter has another year on his contract unfortunately. Roqica doesn't run hard enough given his size so he'd be no loss. Bienek is impressive and another pre-season would hopefully see him ready to play on a more regular basis. Definitely need to find a big mofo prop to give us more oomph though.



Agree with the call for a strong, pacy centre on the right hand side.



Hopefully Pearce-Paul and Pointer are given new contracts. Both are still young and have potential.



Oh, and Walker needs to put on another stone in the off-season.

The basis of a successful championship side is there but as mentioned by posters above there needs to be changes, Im sure the staff know that.

How's Boudebza gone with you? He was excellent with us in his first season, earned his year extension but never seemed able to reproduce his form second time around.

I suspect he is just short term as we have 2 good hookers(1 injured at mo). has played OK

If Battye is looking for a new contract he has to be more disciplined. I think you're right about both Evans and Roqica - and yes, a powerful centre is a must.

Why on earth would garside go there? Is Bradford home for him?

If we can't attract a couple of heavy hitters for the front/second row from the north, then I'd look to the 2nd tier NSW/QLD cup sides. If this is our last year 201icon_cool.gif as a FT squad, then we need to get a couple or maybe 3 Hungry 2nd graders from Au/NZ and give them a chance to get in the SL shop window in return for 30 games next year....there's a few Hunters forwards who aren't flash, but they move in a straight line and are hard to take down!

Agree, this is the key to next season, two (at least) big/hard forwards who will give us grunt, go forward and allow us to dominate.............

surely depends on two factors?



1. The owners willingness to keep funding



2. What the structure of RL looks like, where we are Superleague or........ and the funding attached?

I seem to recall that our GM and the owner had conversations and meetings around "continued" funding when we moved into Trailfinders. I believe (and am happy to be corrected) that a 3 year plan was put before the owner with the ultimate goal of us returning to Superleague and he agreed to an initial 3 years more funding, albeit at a lesser level than before.

Without his (or anyone elses) funding combined with the central funds, we wouldn't be able to afford to be Full Time. I believe (again happy to be corrected) that the owner is now fully retired and therefore the bottomless pit now has a bottom and therefore, we will eventually need to fend for ourselves, whether that be in 2019 or soon after.

Having not seen his smiling face this year, I can't comment on whether Mr Hughes is a happy chappy or if he's resigned to the only route back into SL being a return to licensing, given at least 1 SL club with a wealthy owner is coming down to replace HKR, Toronto seem to have unlimited funding and Toulouse (as they always do) look to be more competitive next year meaning that 3rd or 4th spot is what we'll be looking at unless we get busy in the marketplace in the off season.

I'd have the coach and Mr Hughes down here for the duration of the RLWC, talking to NRL sides about taking "fringe players" on a years loan because we lack the grunt needed to go up.......IMHO that is

Would be a massive blow if we ended up part time. Would surely kill any hopes of SL.
