In a months time we have Hull KR on a Thursday night. Something needs to be done to boost what could well be a meagre crowd. The effort to draw a decent crowd should start now. On the back of our victory over Wakey. Get out there. Do not just sit back and see what happens.

Thu night never going to be easy, away fans will be rare.

Is it on sky? If so that's going to effect visitors even more.

Yes it is on Sky.

So no incentive for many away fans.

Same for home fans from the edges of the region, couple of hours in commuter traffic or public transport or watch it on telly.

Suspect a pretty dire turnout

We will take the train. We can use Castlebar Park Station.

I'd be talking to a local brewer and putting on a mini beer festival that evening, Get CAMRA on board............if we cant get 2,000 through the doors it's going to look very odd to a national tv audience...

....I have to repeat it, The crowd yesterday was shocking. Well done to those Wakey fans who made the effort, but as a professional club, we should never have to rely on "away" fans.....I suspect there were no more than 350 home fans there yesterday.

When you exaggerate like this it diminishes the valid points you are otherwise raising.

There were maybe 700/800 people at Trailfinders yesterday. No, I didn't count them but both "stands" were sply populated and IMHO, Wakefield had about 350 fans at the game.

I've yet to see an announced gate for yesterday, but there's not a snowballs it was 4 figures......so if i am incorrect, it'll be by a few dozen, but in no way shape or form am I exaggerating.

Whatever you suggest Gutters DH isn't going to go anywhere near any brewery or anyone else who might help draw a crowd.

I mean it would be a great idea, something along the lines of Skolars Friday Night Lights - but it won't happen.

Talking of Skolars, wouldn't Saturday have been a good day for a double header? They're in good from this season with a few LB loanees and a few LB old boys.

Beats me why there isn't a curtain raiser at every home game. Be it a double header, academy or junior side, why would the club not take advantage of the 4G pitch and attract people in earlier.

We all know the club won't do anything to promote that game. They sent one tweet last week offering season ticket holders of London football clubs £10 entry for the Wakefield game. But did they actually do anything with that offer? Did they contact those clubs, or supporters clubs, or fan websites, or anything else to publicise that offer? Of course not. The sum total of that offer was one tweet. Even when they have an idea they don't do anything with it.

It's pathetic really, a total waste of an opportunity to try and rebuild the fan base.
