For anyone who knows about the history of Rugby League, to get into bed with a Union side was to me treachery. 'The forbidden game' by Mike Rylance is a wonderful book for those who would like to know more about how Union behaved towards League.
I couldn't stomach it and I stand by my views on it. Furthermore, there was an element of the support who relished the decline of the clubs status, so that they were able to be acknowledged by the players as if they were all best mates.
I remember how well this manifested itself when we had Jon Wells the winger who didn't score. People refused to admit he wasn't Super League standard just because he was a good bloke. This attitude and refusal to ever be critical was the reason London got relegated.
My interest in why attendances were no longer published was borne out of no ill will. I hope London Broncos get promoted.'"

You can stand by your opinion if you like, but it is wrong and was shown to be so at the time. As for Jon Wells...... He was a player and he was picked...... You weren't and never will be the coach, so carry on with your decade bitterness...... He's doing OK for himself and is welcome at the club anytime.... You on the other hand......   |

As for reunions, what ever happened to the curtisim and paddock? Where the hell are they?

Look, it started with Gus and his curries. It amazes me so much that the fact that he peed the guy so devoted the London RL (Paddock) so much off, i am very pleased that he has come back to the fold.

I still randomly text Rooster, in fact i texted him around 18 months ago to tell him that i clocked Tony Rea was in the bar II was at in Darling Harbour. He remembered me from a very dank and wet day when Quins RL were playing a pratice match against the Skolars at Roehampton! (Approx Jan 2007). If the old guys remember it was due to take place after the Quins RU match, but as the Stoop pitch was so waterlogged they decided to switch it.
If i remember, Mclinden just had surgery (chatted to him), and Scott Hill had just joined us.
Tony remembered me as we were behind the posts, his son was in the pram and we were trying to calm him down.
Also another good time, apart from the numbnuts formerly known as Gutterfax when he was cool, does anyone remember the 2007 team presentation at the sports bar in Haymarket. David Mills was full on with my girlfriend at the time. She thought he was a doorknob.
