| I dont think any season ticket holder is treated better than another one. We are all treated the same it may be our perspectives which are different. Someone asked why the fan base had gone down since DH came. I feel it was losing more games than we won for three seasons on the trot and only winning two games in one season. I seriously dont think there is a Bronco fan who minds the team being beaten but what we all mind is when there is no effort from the players, which happened back then. Unfortunately that is why a lot of fans walked. It is going to be a long long road back but I am hopeful the support will return when we return. Our fan base went up the season before our return to SL when players gave their all and more, fans got behind them. Getting beaten in SL they still had the fans support because each and every one of us knew they could do no more. Going forward if we have players with that attitude, fans who cheer and bring friends and spread the word and back room staff and sponsors who want to see results then we will succeed. Keep the faith

| Sorry but I have to agree that bronze season ticket holders seemed to be treated better than others. My opinion and that is how I see it.

I don't understand how this is the case. Can you elaborate.

| Mmmmm , fun...Yea I remember that...Its the thing a lot of us have watching London week in week out...But then ML who actually works at the club dares to decide to keep us in the loop with as much info as he can impart on here...takes his time to e mail us individually and be approachable . What does this lead to???...Him getting pelters for doing exactly what supporters have been demanding for years.....Certain people who seem to know better than him or the club pull him to bits over doing these things....Calm down people ...as in this thread title its meant to be fun...Not a clue what the big news is going to be but lets wait and give a considered opinion without snidey drivel being bandied around.. .

Dont be like that Plumb, not your fault that the Broncos family is so dysfunctional at times.
Not bothered to check the figures but i find it hard to believe Exeter's turnover etc is the same as Wigan or Leeds. Maybe Salford or HKR it might be so but Exeter are still a League 2 club that narrowly missed promotion & in 2018/19 could only muster average crowds of under 5,000. Once a proud footballing city, it is now very much a rugby union city with the Chiefs averaging just over 12,000 crowds. City also lose a lot of their best young players to other clubs making it hard to progress.
But if you take Wigan say as the pinacle of RL, Broncos in reality are closer to them than Exeter will ever be to Liverpool for obvious reasons. Most football & rugby clubs have a sugar daddy of sorts at the top. You just hope your sugar daddy loves the club & just not on an ego trip. There is no doubting Sir Dave's love of the club its just the lack of communication, some of his decision making & appointments that left me with my head in my hands. Knew i could find a way to mention Gus. But its Dave's money so he can do what he likes with it.
But since our Monkey friend has been updating us, there has been some optimism that things may be heading in the right direction at last. Now back on track, ML says he was talking to Scholars Directors so possible merger? Not sure that would improve crowds much!
Time for bed said Zebedee.

| We didn't lose 3,000 fans (3/4 of our fan base) simply because we lost more games than we won, although that clearly had some impact. And we certainly didn't lose them post-relegation, they were mostly long-gone before that.
The club has a long history of employing people who took pleasure in alienating fans - "turn up, buy a ticket, maybe a shirt if we get around to selling some, and then go away" has consistently been the attitude from club officials. People who went out of their way to try to help the club were ignored and/or disregarded. We all know of people who'd been following the club for years and years who finally decided they'd had enough of being treated badly and walked away.
If ML wants to chat to us and pass on bits of info, then that's great, but he's also got to show a modicum of professionalism. After a period of pretty abysmal trolling on here, he showed some signs of acknowledging that in recent months - which I said to him recently - but now he's reverted to Billy Big Bollards. He just comes across in exactly the same manner as all those previous club officials - from Paul Blanchard to Gus Mackay - who looked at fans as an inconvenience.

We have not had thousands of fans over the last 15 - 20 years, the large crowds were when we played the likes of Wigan, Leeds, Bradford, St Helens and Warrington. We lost support when we moved from the Stoop to Barnet because of the travel time if you lived south of the river, the final nail in the coffin was the losing streak we had at Barnet and getting relegated to the championship.

The decline started last time around at The Stoop. We averaged 4,000 in the last season at Griffin Park (2005) but by the time we left The Stoop (2013) we were down to 2,380 despite playing against similar teams. The Hive had the dubious honour of halving the average to 1,294 in that notably dismal SL season (2014) and halving it again, though more understandably, in the Championship (2015) to 634.
People in London have a lot of choice about how to spend their time and money. However exciting RL is as a sport, I think the minimum requirement to build a crowd is a competitive and hard working team.
