Sadly didn't see the game but I'm at a loss to know what exactly the extra time malarkey brings to the game in a league format?

Shouldn't have been extra time. We scored a try that on the multiple video replays was obviously a try. But the ref sent it up as "no try".

So, no try. This doesn't happen to "big" teams.
