Let's be clear here, the "feel good' atmosphere around the club was down to a totally unexpected million pound game followed by a few surprise wins which meant we avoided the inevitable until the last week of the season. I'd hazard a guess that if we'd stayed up, we'd still have a similar looking threadbare squad for 2020 Superleague as we do for the 2020 Championship......anyway....I digress....

I always though that their mantra was treat what few fans you have like mushrooms and try to keep the fact we exist a secret for as long as possible





Think the bookies have given us the Kiss of Death if I am honest and I see Fev and Toulouse as stronger sides than us Sammut at Leigh elevates them in my eyes, with Widnes as dark horses along with York

The Squad looks like it has some balance and the youngsters who have been promoted up will gain experience. I take it that the 6 or 7 who don't get selected for the 1st XIII will be used in the reserve grade? This will make sure that everyone is "match fit' when they are called upon and may give us a slight edge against sides not running a reserve grade, but I still think we are 3 "senior" players short. A bit of Grunt in the pack and a bit of guile in the halves......and please, someone on the right to stop us being a tad porous down that flank which has been an issue for a few years IIRC.



I'll stick my neck out here and say we could make the MPG 2020, but it'll be from outside the top 2 spots, possibly top 3.

2021 at the earliest, absolutely no chance next year.

Hope to be proved wrong but a top half finish is the best we can hope for unless our kids are brilliant at this level when they get their chance.



We could really do with a gnarly old forward to do a job for us like Thacks did a few seasons ago.

Got to agree, leigh toulouse York and prob fev will push us hard.

As a first 17, I think we can have a good go with anyone. My worry is the depth. We could be relying alot on youth/inexperience when injuries take hold. If there are 3 more incoming, as per Wardy (2 forwards and 1 back) that could be a bg boost, just depends if it is older experienced heads or 3 young squad fillers
