There should only be more full time refs if it improves the quality. Some of the existing ones appear to be stealing a living.

Refereeing will never improve with Ganson at the helm, never. He is an absolute idiot and a typical RFL appointment.

Well if that improves quality and consistency of decisions I'm all for it.

I agree WQ, Ganson is the wrong man to be Head of match officials and Technical Director for the RFL. It is another case of "jobs for the boys". Remembering that he had his disciplinary problems.

He couldn't spell strategy never mind develop a forward looking one for referees in the UK at all levels.. Whether that be recruitment, development ....................

The Moore sin binning was quite funny! I reckon everyone knew exactly what he said to the ref that got him the card.

Assume we don’t go up, hope you realise that if the 2 referee thing goes ahead, the standard of ref in the championship will be lower than this year. All the refs we had this year will now be doing second ref in SL games so everyone else will step up !

Have to be careful what we wish for.

As I said, I am in favour if it improves the quality and consistency of refereeing. Of course refs will need to do more games, maybe they will get better as a result.

That’s the point Refs will not do more games, the Refs we have had those season mainly will step up to be second ref at top tier. The Refs that did NL1 will then step up to fill the games in the championship that need covering, all you achieve is SL get less penalties at the ptb at championship level you have less experienced guys.
