That’s true and the consensus on here is he was not all that but I would have thought he was nearer the finished article than the Academy has currently. However as Curtisnsays perhaps we are about to swoop for some quality in which case if funds are short fair enough but if we couldn’t match Bartley’s offer or he thought Batley was a better option that wouldn’t be great.

Yep. One assumes he will be on part time at Batley - £15-18k? if he has to pay rent that won’t go far even if the cost of a pint is less. Rent will be much less but and I’m guessing here maybe he lives at home or shares rent with some pals who I assume won’t be making the journey to outskirts of Leeds.



Maybe, as Victor infers, he was surplus to requirements at the New Broncos and/ or he hasn’t been able to work out a pt career that would fit around RL and fancies a change. There again maybe he thinks we’ll be relegated and doesn’t fancy it much. It’s either a bold or a desperate move. Time will tell.
