Steve Crossley has just been released by the bulls and it says theres numerous clubs after him, could we be one? i know we tried signing him a couple of years ago...21 years old and 115kg

people keep saying how we have no money to spend and we need another prop, surely he would be cheap and would just give us a little extra depth if we got a few injuries, providing we dont sign a big name prop!

Rumours are he is off to Dewsbury and wouldn't be suprised if they didn't announce that tonight.

i think crossley would be a good project signing, its not too long ago he was a stand out player on junior tours down under and at 21 got all his best years ahead of him, i know we offered him a contract 2 years ago but he chose to stay with his home town team, as well as turning leeds down, for me he would be less of a gamble than tonks not the best but has potential. Wont want much money either, he used to work at my place and dropped wage to go full time at the bulls, but like austin says think he will go to dewsbury, a family member of his tells me he really enjoyed it there last year.

I agree with this- would be better off offering the money to the rest of the squad as an incentive payment.

never heard of crossley and prob no better than the young props we already have in walker and orwell who are unlikely to become regulars at super league anytime soon
