Ian Smith reffed both league games this season.

Heard him as a guest on Radio Manchester talk show a couple of weeks ago. Both him and his dad are out and out Leigh fans.

Said he got into refereeing after 20 years of rubbish refs at Leigh to show his dad he could do better.........

He was a member of the warrington referee's society and therefore has warrington after his name. He is from leigh and is a big leigh fan and hence he has a hatred for all things wire!

yep just one or two seasons.... erm no sorry 25 seasons! And trust me he doesnt do us favours (normally!)

yeah, that was it nothing to do with us going around and over your much heralded (and rightly so at the time) tight knit defence really early on which pretty much fooked your defensive pattern for most of the game.

made me laugh when wire fans were going mad over roby's try at crusaders other week which cost them 2nd place, they must have forgot lunty's no try which more or less made sure they couldn't lose at wembley

ATEOTD the Giants need to do the business on the pitch and not worry about the REF.

...especially when they seem to be worrying about a ref in a match that took place more than a year ago.
