| There is a major reality check needed if you think Mossop will leave Wigan any time in the near future.

| Wigan might bring an Aussie over to replace Tim Smith who will go home.
Wigan won't bring an Aussie over to replace Phil Bailey who will leave possibly for a SL club. Hansen, J Tomkins and Mossop will be competing for his place.
If developing and playing British talent is so important to Huddersfield then why bring over Brett Hodgson when he was replacing Leroy Cudjoe? A very expensive Aussie to replace a good local talent!
Carney would have come over if he could have obtained a visa and another local lad David Lawrence would have missed out.
Brown wears the 3 shirt and plays 6. If Carney have arrived then Brown would have played 3 and Carney 6 with Lawrence missing out.
Good to see both Cudjoe and Lawrence in your team v HKR though!
I think you might find that Wigan played more former academy players in their team v Salford than Huddersfield did from theirs v HKR. In fact Hudds have more former Wigan academy players in their team than their own academy lads.

Hodgson came as a replacement for Thorman
FWIW we had 15 Englishmen in our 17 on Friday
We had Cudjoe,Lawrence,Crabtree,Jackson and Raleigh from our Academy plus Lunt and Kirmond who we have brought in from NL2 on duty

It does show desperation claiming Jacko and Raleigh as Huddersfield products. In the strictest sence they may well be but in real terms they are nothing of the sort.

| Quote jonh="jonh"As both learned there first team professional trade at other clubs in real terms.
The worrying thing is at the moment you have very little coming through behind Cudjoe and Lawrence, the culture has changed regards development in the last year at Hudds yet the progress has not followed.'"
Wrong again - Jackson was a 1st team regular till he moved to wakefield.
Look at our Reserves and then the 1st team squad members we have out on loan at other clubs - there is plenty there for the Future dont you worry

Like who?
Adam Walker is a good lad with potential. Jerry McGillevary is a great runner but is very raw and i do not think he has the skill set to make it in SL, hope i am wrong as he is a great lad.
Hemmingway will not be a Sl player.
Lopag, cannot see it, average at best. The backbone of your reserves are in players like Beefy, Glasshill, Donlan, all who appreciate they do not have a Sl future.
Below that there are lads like Ed Barber and Nathan Chapel who have a long way to go, great in age group but questions over there attitude.
You do have 2 great talents in Lawrence and Cudjoe realistically after that there is a major dearth in talent and despite the backroom changes this does not seem like it is going to change.
You do have in my opinion the brightest prospect in the game in the area, but I doubt he will be in the Hudds system for long beyond scholarship, with the big clubs already courting his signature.

McNally is the brightest prospect in that bunch, in my opinion non of the others will make it as front line SL players.
Wigan are basically slated by those who are ignorant for producing lots of Sl standard players. In the modern day it is unrealistic to assume we can retain them all, its a shame the cap does not reward this rather than penalising a successful youth system.
In reality Wigan are slated for releasing some players but when it comes to naming them who have gone on to bigger and better things the examples are few and far between.
