A really strange game- but I had a feeling it would be. Players in the squad we haven’t seen for a while, and then towards the end Watson took off Levi, tui, leutele, etc and we were playing an entirely different look team.

Can absolutely understand why though. Playoffs are more important than this nothing game against a nothing team- but nice to keep that home win record going a bit longer!

Playing Wakefield in this game was meaningless to us vasty- sorry if that hurts your feelings but it’s true. A third game in 9 days against a team who’s barely beaten relegation in the last 4 weeks - to us wakey is nothing. we gain nothing by playing you other than potential injuries and bans, we can’t afford to play our full strength side and gain momentum due to the incompetence in organising the fixtures as they have just before the playoffs, the fact we were playing without our spine bar pryce (who maybe won’t feature next week anyway) in the last 20 minutes when we were behind must indicate to you how our coach viewed the game.
