There's no reason why Littler can't go in't 2nd row where he's played a million times before that's where I would stick him personally. Higson gives us pace out wide & his defence is top notch with the bone crunching tackles he makes.

Even captains have to warrant their places in the team, sentiment should play no part in the selection process.

I think Parker's our biggest loss as he really drives our team forward which is needed against a big Batley side & he marshall's the boy around the park brilliantly. Finnegan coming back is a boost although IMO if we beat Batley we desperately need Parker back againt a big Fev/Fax side.

Bar Penky there are 3 potential props on't bench which is needed against a big, physical Batley side. Bullock has lots of potential but he doesn't offer that front row option & IMHO I think Rowley has selected the right 17.

I agree against the more physical sides Bates's 'mongrel' streak is more usefull.

Adam is in for Gardener (injured) Otherwise usual backs. Ryan Duffy starts in front row with Ostick. Tom Spencer (heard we've signed him - anybody else heard) on the bench - with Penky of course.
