Leeds MP Greg Mulholland has written to the RFL, asking for the game to be switched from LSV, on the basis that the venue, just five miles from Wigan, is unfair on Broncos' supporters. The RFL has rejected his plea on the basis that LSV provides the best venue to produce a spectacle of a decent crowd/atmosphere, and maximise the financial return for both clubs. Mulholland wanted the game to be held in the Midlands. (big bucks for a football club and a 'crowd' of about 6,000 in a 50,000 stadium)

Have to agree. When I read it I thought he had put as much thought into it as our dear Charlie does when he gives an opinion.

A Crusaders fan I was chatting to on Saturday told me 67 of their fans went to Gloucester. Crowd was about 120 sadly.

London will have more spectators at the LSV than anywhere else. Besides their own they will have all the Leigh ( I hate Wigan) supporters who go to the match.

I may have exaggerated a tad, to emphasise a point, although I think Villa Park capacity is just shy of 43,000 with plans to increase to 50,000. I don't think they would have got that done by this weekend though.



Lets face it, if the semi had been in London, there wouldn't have been many more Broncos fans, than at Leigh.

Think its the right choice as the CC hasn't been well supported of late so a smaller venue is best plus i'm going so i'm pleased its at the LSV .
