| Publicly the club are saying that the squad will be the same next season. In itself I don't have a problem with that but surely if we don't bring in some new blood for 2013 there will have to be wholesale changes in 2014? Is this going to be a problem, what do people think?

| I think we will see a new player or 2. The young hooker Clarke from castleford has been rumoured and would be a good signing.
I would also like to see the young players utilised alot more against the lesser teams. I don't mind if we lose a few games, if it means they get some good game time and first team experience... It's not like winning the league or finishing in the top 2 really matters that much.
I would much rather pay to watch the likes of The Rhys Evans, Currie, Dwyer, O'brien, Saltonstall, laithwaite get 5-10 first team games, than to watch us demolish teams by 50/60 points.
I think Smith starting do this to a certain extent this season... I would like to see it taken to the next level though.
More games for the younger players please Mr Smith.

| You would expect 2-3 players to be brought into the squad (either from internal or external soruces) but I am getting the distinct impression that we won't see much movement!

| I have a somewhat slightly different opinion on this. I'd definitely like to see more of O'Brien, Dwyer etc get some first team games next year as I think youth will play a massive part in our future! But I still think we need a couple of quality signings to improve our squad.
Hodgson
Riley
Atkins
Waterhouse
Hill
Morley
Westwood
Carvell
Wood
Monohan
Briers
Myler
Ratchford
Grix
Cooper
Harrison
All quality players. I'd like to see these combined with the introduction of some young players plus a couple of players to bring a bit of speed\flair to the team. I like us playing dynamic and explosive Rugby which we lacked in the Grand Final!

I can't imagine the size of the transfer fee given that Super Ben is contracted to 2015

| If you are after Clarke to replace Higham then an approach to Castleford might be appreciated.
For a transfer fee they would most likely let him go. After all they'd still have Adam Milner who is also an excellent young player.
It does seem that Cas could do with the money and the right offer might get the response you want.
With Higham at your place for 2013 Clarke could be signed and allow Micky to rejoin his old mate Basil on loan over the Pennines.
