Nice idea. It certainly makes Lee's period at the club stand out when you think he'll have played alongside upwards of 150 different players in the PnB (remembering that there will have been a squad in place when he arrived).

Do this and you always get his number:



Take any three-digit number where the first and last digits differ by 2 or more.

Reverse the digits, and subtract the smaller from the larger one.

Add to this result the number produced by reversing its digits.



e.g. 751 - 157 =594, then 594 + 495 = 1089



Always works.



And multiply it by 1 to 9 in turn and you get:



1 x 1089 = 1089

2 x 1089 = 2178

3 x 1089 = 3267

4 x 1089 = 4356

5 x 1089 = 5445

6 x 1089 = 6534

7 x 1089 = 7623

8 x 1089 = 8712

9 x 1089 = 9801
