| Good idea in principle, but a red card can be given for a number of reasons. The worst proberley being gouging or stamping, which obviously deserves more than a 2 match ban, compared to getting a 2 match ban for say fighting or high tackle.
I can see the argument for yellow cards, especially considering Keith enior's antics, the other night, but would a 1 match ban for back-chat or persistant offside be worthy of a ban?
Plenty of areas to look at in rl,especially the increase in back-chat to the refs, but dont expect the spineless RFL to do anything about. They've still not commented on the shambles at Celtic Crusaders.

| There have been some unjust red cards over the years i remember years ago in a league game against Saints at Wilderspool Kevin Ellis was sent off for a completely accidental trip...
The disciplinary gave a not guilty verdict.....
An automatic 2 match ban in some cases could be harsh...

| Refs are already unwilling to make onfield decisions to send people off. This would make them hesitate further if a yellow carried a one match ban
Also why should the team the week later gain from an offense commited against a different team. This is the reason why i dislike the report system
