Undoubtedly, I thought he was going to Leeds from an earlier comment of his but 3 years was probably too good to pass up. I like TL, and wish him well.

He's a good finisher, quicker than he looks over distance and brings the ball out very well. As others have mentioned his disciplinary record for a winger is shocking and means he misses a fair few games each year for incidents that were unnecessary. He's scored plenty of tries for us and has been our highest scoring winger, but benefits greatly from playing on our left alongside Widdop, Currie & King for both his try scoring opportunities and defensively.



Charnley doesn't get the service Lineham gets and I think the lack of tries he's scored in the past 12 - 18 months has knocked his confidence. Defensively he's making some poor reads at times, but I think playing outside Mamo & Austin doesn't help him in that regard. He also has an infuriating habit of playing for a penalty by trapping in defenders, which rarely works anymore and only serves to slow our ruck speed - something the fans get pretty frustrated about.



Lineham has certainly looked the better winger over the past 2 years, but I question whether that would be the same had they played on different sides.

Yes, definitely. I'll be sorry to see him go, wouldn't have been as sorry to see Charnley go tbh.

Left wing is the place to play in the modern game. Charnley really would have scored most of the tries as well.

Wakey have signed a very good player. It's a positive for them, in many ways similar to the positives of Cas getting Mamo.

With Lineham you get the good and bad. I think he's playing better this year than Charnley when he's on the field.

Every day of the week he's better than Charnley, and i'm glad other people see it aswell. Be interesting to see if we replace him or if Ashton gets the nod for his position?

Ashtons contract expires this year doesn't it ? I him with thwellis to cover FB and wing still leaves is light in the wing position



I also think over their wire careers lineham has been better than Charley, I think he's massively overrated there would only be a handful of wingers who I would consider an upgrade. I hope he does well at waley.
