| I said after a few games on here that he was the signing of the season. What has happened since then? He looks slow and uninterested. Not seeing anywhere near enough aggression from him.
I think we should move him to prop. He is wasted out wide when the main battlefield is in the middle. He will solve our prop shortage as well.

Fair point Mario especially with the Prop issue we have at present. Forster, Krasniqui look out of their depth.

Well said Stanley.
Moving him to prop solves a lot of our problems and will save his lungs as we spell him. Wakefield ran every drive down our right hand side today to tire BMM out and he was puffing by the 60 minute mark.
Still doesnt explain why he's been so poor though. Heard a rumour at the game today (no proof, only a rumour) that a close family member of his was ill and the club havent allowed him to travel back home to visit them. I dont think it will be true though?

| Couldn't disagree more. Why would you move our most devasting forward inside?
We need to adapt our game and hit him out wide more. Lui seems to bring this out of him, but our other backs struggle, granted without Lui we seem to be playing a half down, but thats not good enough. We have workhorses who can do the middle work, but to use him inside is a massive waste. The one time we hit him outwide today, he broke the line.
We didn't lose todays game thorugh the middle, we lost it through a slow start and Wakey graftting more than us

Hope its not true because thats horrendous not giving him leave, the bigger picture exceeds sporting loyalty sometimes which must take priority, maybe thats why Masila's game is lacking that spark.

| Thats just speculation and at the end of the day, thats for the club to deal with. As a professional he should be more commited. I didn't feel that first half, howver 2nd half he was a bit better

He made one clean break all game and this amounted to nothing. For Wests and Penrith he was playing loose most of the time. His impact would be devastating coming off the bench running in the middle. Plus, you seem to think moving forwards inside slows them down yet every time i have suggested we play Phil Joseph out wide I have been shot down.

| There is a big difference between Phil Joseph and BMM, Joseph is very limited in most of his actions and lacks pace. BMM offers height and pace. He is a real handful, you leave the donkey work to people like Joseph.
I'm not a fan of moving BMM to Loose , he has his position and can worry any defence in SL, we need to play to that.

Hey Stan i understand what your saying but for me he's wasted if he's making just one line break a game out wide. He should be used ripping up the metres in the middle giving Dobson and Tomkins more of a platform to work with, Masila wins collision in abundance with quick PTB's which would be a godsend for Dobson and Tomkins to exploit.

| I think your missing my point Mario, I respect your a Salford fan and welcome your argument for the better of our team. But you missing the basics of what a 2nd row is, Koppy lacks pace and hands. BMM is a serious unit who can hit the line at pace and offload. When Ellis and Mozza were at there pomp, they were never used in the middle, they were used destructively outwide. Now granted I;m not putting BMM anywhere near that category, but the principle is the same.

| This however doesn't account for his lack of effort first half. I alway remeber John Foran going mad at nathan Mcavoy for just standing on the wing, when he was our most attacking player. He used to bollock him and tell him to go looking for work and get involved, same principle applies.

Thanks Stanley and good point. I still think we should use him in the middle when Hauraki is back as otherwise Jones or BMM will have to miss out.
When Hauraki is back and Vidot is fit how will we line up and who will we drop?

| Nice headache to have, but can't see it happening due to injuries
For me, keep Jones at centre and have Haulraki in 2nd row with BMM.
If we had a fully fit team, which we won't have for the rest of the season, I would have:
O'Brien
Carney
Sau
Jones
Vidot
Lui
Dobbo
Koppy
Lee
Grifin
BMM
Haulraki
Flannny
with other permutations, the core pivots would stay the same and play BMM and and Haularki together.

That looks a decent team on paper. Its such a shame its a possibility we'll never see it. Annoying.

Good team. Think Watson is a big fan of J. Griffin though so cant see Jones getting in the starting 13 unless someone drops out of back row.

| Ok Here is my say on the matter, agree or disagree up to you.
BMM has never in his life had to play 3 games in 8 days and just maybe , maybe the thought went through his mind this is going to be bloody tough and it was not only tough for him but for every player who has played 3 games in the last 7. 8 . 9 days.
H e will bounce back like Salford will.

| Didn't even realised BMM was on the pitch until his break in the second half, largely anonymous again. He needs to get back to doing what he was doing so well earlier in the season, running onto the ball hard and making big yards. On Saturday I lost count how many times he was at dummy half at the PTB.

I agree not only was BMM at dummy half several times but two or three of them were on or near their 10 metre line, he should be the one charging in with the ball like he did at Wigan.

| I never noticed him doing this when Tommy Lee was playing, perhaps we're missing that lack of leadership on the field. As you say BMM should be steaming onto the ball in those positions not pretending to be a hooker.
