How are we signing players without a coach? Surely it would be better to get the coach in and let him have a say in the signings so he can mould a team around his style of play?

I really don’t understand the logic in signing a clubless player with very little Superleague experience on a three year contract. Surely give the player 12 months, if he does well sit down and discuss extending the deal. The player was not wanted by Huddersfield and released last November with 12 months to still run on his contract.



I really hope the good Doctor is getting the right advice from those people around him.

We have zero depth as it is. It's another player in the mix. We're obviously looking elsewhere for more players so don't see the problem.

I'd agree, if like already mentioned it was a 12 month contract. Really don't understand us offering 3 year contracts to everyone willy nilly.

Think its more a case of him not being match fit , rather than injured , it states on the reds home website.

Was there something wrong with our forwards from the under 20's from last season? you know the one's that majority got released to lower league clubs or on duel registration.

I understand that the deal was agreed before Veivers and Simms left.... which could explain why they offered a 3 year deal.

managed 5 appearances for Giants in 2011- 2012 , also went on Dual Reg to Halifax in 2011.



Even fully fit I doubt he'd make it past the current Options Hudds have for 2nd rower, would be a squad filler at best .

I suppose it depends on what his contract is worth. If we are paying peanuts but have the security of having him signed up then its a good deal.

As for Molloy I doubt very much Lowe would have sanctioned the signing without the feedback from people in the game he trusts, wouldn't surprise me if Noble wasn't asked for his opinion based on his time on loan at Halifax. Said in another thread I'd like to see Sam Barlow brought in like Molloy has with an eye to the future. I have also read that there is a chance two players are being moved on makes you wonder if the new broom the Doc is brandishing is heading towards the playing staff next.

Essentially it comes down to momentum - perhaps a basic physics lesson is in order?



momentum = mass * velocity



so at 16stone (=101.6 kg) we need to know how fast he can run. The general consensus is that there is a limit of around 30mph as the fastest that is possible, but then then he's a forward, so let's call that 15mph or 6.7 metres/sec



So when he hits you the momentum is ~680 kgm/s



However, momentum is a vector quantity so the impact will be affected by the direction relative to what/who e hits......



Regardless I'd not want to be stood in front of him!
