Not sure if this has been posted already as i've not been on the forum for several months but heard today we have signed David Solomona on a 1 year deal for next season. I've never posted a rumour on here before bit this source seems genuine.



If this turns out to be true i think it'll be a HUGE step backwards for the club, he will be 35 next season and is the most out of shape professional rugby player i've seen in superleague.

thinking about it, those two stood arm in arm would have about half the pitch covered

David Solomona , I thought he was ' wide ' when we was at Wakey , then Bradford signed him , then Smith signed him for Warrington. On his day and fit he is still one of the best off loaders in the game and deadly from 2 yards out , especially if he lands on you .

In his first year at Warrington he looked the business. Returning from injury he has put on lots of the weight he had lost. He currently looks like one of the fattest players in the modern era.



Hes got months of hard work in front him to get into shape for 2013. If he did, he would be a decent signing for a club on a limited budget.

Solomona is reaching the end of his career but even so would probably get another 12 months at Wire if it were not for the embarrassment of riches the club has in back-row forwards right now. Would be definitely worth a one-year contract for the Reds.
