It says in today's advertiser that Feka will be leaving at the end of this season as his wage is needed to strengthen elsewhere & his game time is going to be limited due to us having 6 props already. It also says he was keen to stay. When he signed I thought it was a 3yr contract? Does anyone have any idea either way?

I've read that feka and anderson have both asked for new contracts and the club are stalling their decision. Which i think is stupid cause here is two players who want to play for us.

unlucky - Feka's 3 yr must have been a contracted option ,and with presumably an higher wage. it doesn't look good for Neal either.

as for 2nd row-Anderson's been playing well this season , he' has had 2 big injuries and struggled last year with back pains, but seems to have more lives than a cat , love him to get another year with us , but we really are counting our pennies and if Veivers is trying to get someone like Dixon in from Saints , he may pay the price for Chris Nero having a longer contract. Luke Adamson's contract is up too...



Yes they may want to play for us , but Veivers has to manage a squad budget that is still dominated by Simms & Mcrea's contract decisions , and probably 25% less than 2010 -2011.

Ermmm maybe they only want to stay because they know they won't get a contract on anywhere near the sort of money they're currently on anywhere else!!! Feka was poor was last season and started off this season ok, but isn't really going to be missed IMO and Anderson has been awful for the most of his 2 years with us apart from the last month or so where he's realised he needs to do something or else he'll be out of job!!



It's no secret we need all the money we can get and getting these two off the wage bill for me is a good thing.

Good squad management tells you these guys both need to go. I like Feka but would imagine he's one of our top earners. Anderson is another Aussie crock; if we keep him we won't see him in a Salford shirt after Christmas 2012.

Add to that list Jordan James, the most ineffective prop I have ever seen.

Get those three off the books and bring in some young fit props who wont miss half the season through injury or play like utter turd$

I'd get rid of Feka in a heart beat, to a decent team he's a luxury they can afford to carry but for Salford he doesn't offer enough go forward or block up enough down the middle to make him effective. He's also I'd say along with DJ and Patton on just about the highest wage and that money could be much better used in other areas.



Anderson is a bit of an enigma as he is always capable of a bit of class to open up a defence and after seeing something last Friday at the game I doubt very much he'll be going anywhere.

I'd keep Jordan James as he'll be on very little and he's a decent squad player but only when the first choice props are unfit or need resting.



For me we need not to play McPherson in the front row as he seems less effective than when playing in the second row.



So for me Feka and Boyle need to go and we desperately need to get two old style hard nut props who will allow (if we are going to use him @ 7) Snyed time with the ball in hand behind them. I'd be looking for at least one no nonsense Aussie prop who we can utillse to help bring through some of the very talented youngsters we have.



I think with the kid they are looking at from Saints the second rower we have more than enough cover with Ashurst, Neal, Anderson, Adamson, McPherson and Nero.
