I must say it's nice to see the Club pulling in well known players. More to come apparently, according to Simms on the official site. Hats off to the club for digging deep and really going for it on the recruitment front.

For once in a lot of years I feel confident about the next season because of the stadium and the quality players we are signing up.Could it be that Wilky has got his timing dead right for the next franchise bid? sort of writing off the first two seasons by saving money on wages etc for the third season,knowing the stadium would get started just in time and getting quality players next round of franchises. I believe next season will be a good one .

Nero is miles better than Tyrer.

Andserson is miles better than Sibbit, Littler, Parker.



If they improve on what we already have how can they not be "move forward" signings??



I think they are both good signings...plenty of SL experience between them and they are both good enough players to have been playing consistently at a higher level than we have been. Well done the club for bringing them in.

Bloody Hell..lets at least get them on the pitch dropping balls and knocking on before we boo them. These are two experienced and dare i say it good signings (my opinion you may choose to disagree) and as others have said how are they not improving on what we already have.

Happy with the two new signings with patten and holdsworth could shape up to be a good season next year... Looking forward to seeing what other signings are to be announced!!

Vinnie has been great for us this year - I for one am gutted to see him go!



He ran Monnas very close in the final last year for man of the match, and has filled in for about 10 positions this year.



Even if you only get 2 years out of him, he'll be a great addition.

I'm pleased with both these signings. While obviously not signings that would really be classed as 'major', they're definitely an upgrade on what we have and will add some experience on the field.



We're Salford, not Leeds/Warrington/Wigan - not every player we bring in is going to be a superstar.

Also, while it's not officially been announced (although still fairly obvious), this will mean Jeremy Smith definitely won't be back next season as all 5 quota spots are now filled.

Two excellent signings I think. I am particularly pleased that Chris Nero is to be wearing a red shirt next year as I have always rated him very highly.

I'm not sure mate, Anderson signed for Saint in 2005 didn't he, so is he now not off quota? Nero has an Italian passport so he's not on the quota either.

Sad to lose Vinnie. Been a good player for us. WIll add an extra dimension to your team.

I knew that Nero was off quota, but thought that Anderson counted. Would that means that he now counts as overseas trained though, or just doesn't count at all?

Nero – Replacement for Talau.

He's experienced (although not old) generally injury free solid if not spectacular, he's non-quota, so all in all a good move.



Anderson – Replacement for Sibbit/Littler

Again experienced but has had a few injuries over the past two years, but looking at who he'll be replacing in Sibbit it's has to be an improvement. We also have a very young pack, Jewitt, Adamson, Boyle, Sidlow, Neal, Wood, Spencer etc so he’ll be a mentor to them. (and maybe off quota?)

Gutted to see Vinnie go. He'll be a good signing for yu, solid, versatile player with a Challenge Cup Winners medal on his CV.

I've not been a big fan of Anderson during his time at Warrington. His versatility is good and he did ok at Wembley for us but he lacks consistency. One week he can be good but then he'll plod through the next few games.

Nero and Anderson don't count on the quota list do they? Nero has an Italian Passport and Anderson has British heritage (apparently).

2 good signings. Would say they replace Littler and Sibbitt as both cover secomd row and centre, wouldnt say Nero is Talaus replacemment. And yes they both are non quota
