Having given it careful thought this last few weeks, I think that the Salary Cap should be abolished.

I don't think they should abolish the maximum cap but maybe the RFL could make a special allowance for Salford to exceed it for a number of years based on the fact we have been considerably under it every year since 1996 .

Think the easiest way to go over the cap is take advantage of the special Cheshire allowance in accountancy circles. I'd love the club spend not one penny over the cap and develop over the years a youth set up good enough to mean that we can spend under but still field a team full of class from 1 - 17.

The dropping of balls does seem to be an issue for young males - even at a game last night,at a venue which doesn't have the Barton swirl or dazzling floodlights,it seemed commonplace.

Perhaps it is the coaching which requires addressing.
