Well done to the Ammies unbelievable escape, FC were unlucky today we had enough chances to make it 2-1 in injury time but didnt take them unfortunately.

Pinch me I must be dreaming! I still can't believe that Salford City have achieved one of the greatest footballing comebacks since the return of Lazarus from the dead. Trailing 1-0 at half-time the Ammies destroyed Garforth Town with five second half goals and with Mossley having won 3-0 at Rossendale the final whistle sparked off scenes of unbridled joy as players and supporters alike celebrated on the pitch.

On the morning of Saturday 7th Match we had one win and eight points from our opening 26 league fixtures and were 15 points behind the next to bottom side and 18 points behind Rossendale United. However a 5-3 win at Lancaster City that day kick started our season which culminated in 8 wins and 25 points from our final eleven league fixtures.

Who says that miracles don't happen!!





Now I can concentrate fully on the rugby & Salford City Reds

Got to say I have very little interest in non-league football, and even less interestin Salford City FC.



However, their unbelieveable 'great escape' had me rooting for them for the last few weeks and I was absolutely delighted (and totally gob-smacked?!) for the club, and particularly its fans, when I heard how yesterday's scores ghad turned out.



Congrats to the Ammies, and the best of luck for next season.

Looking at the sides who we will be facing next year, it's going to be a very strange feeling being home by about 5:15pm from an away game after the number of 2-3 hour treks we've had over the past few years!

Get in there. Unbelievable, I sat down a few weeks back and looked throught the fixtures of all the teams in the mix and though we had absolutly no chance.

I feel your attendance will actually rise next year as a lot of United fans are saying that the price increase this year is a step too far.
