How is your starting 13 shaping up?

Dont know why but I can't be enthused by these two, Patten yes I see as a massive coupe. Got a niggly feeling Anderson will turn out to be Talau mk11.



I'm still concerend by the lack of a hooker, if as some suggest Robinson is being brought back can see him being the answer going forward but not in defence, what we don't want is to be bringing more strike players but shipping even more tries as a result.

Clarke or Brad Drew would be a good pickup for hooker.

I like Brad Drew, but too old now I think. Not really been a fan of Clarke, don't think he'd suit us. I think Robinson would be wasted at hooker especially since he has been playing well at scrum half. Moving Matty Smith to hooker could be an option though.



As for Nero and Anderson they should be solid at least and I think/hope they will prove to be decent signings.



I really, really hope we don't sign Paleaasina, would be a complete waste of time and money, would much rather see Carl Webb in a Salford jersey.

Given that we're probably expected to lose more players, there's still a worrying lack of depth. Hopefully, if McRae does give some of the youngsters a chance in the final games, one or two of them will be seen as a viable option for more first team action next season.

Looks like a good team to me, good blend of youth and experience, your new signings are looking great for next year!

Two Good signings for next season, both 8/10 every week kind of players the type of player we need in the team to move us forward with more to come it does sound promising what we may achieve next season

Equally important, all those mentioned in the team chosen there are contracted beyond the 2010 season.

Think you've made a good signing with Vinnie. His work rate is always high and was just beaten to the post for MOM in the final last year in a position that wasn't his own. Soooooooo sad to see him go.

I watch the youth on a regular basis, as i've got mates in the squads

and Jeeez there's some players there who would put our first team to shame !

Think Jezza will be gone come the end of the season. I'm never sure whether he was a waste of money or hasn't been given a fair crack of the whip, always seems to add something from the PTB when he comes on and is a fair old tackler too.

On the Salford website it claims none are on the quota. Hope we get a decent hooker, prop and winger now.

I think you'll find Talau was Mark Edmunson mk11:- Signed from Saints in a blaze of glory , but more often seen on the physio table than on the pitch . 2009 - 5 apps, 2010 15 ! I think Edmundson managed 11 in 2007 season.



Will V Anderson be Edmunson mkIII? 15 think it's only this season he's had major injury issues. Presume Salford will have undertook a thorough medical ..

We actually signed Edmo from Sydney Roosters. He use to train at the gym I worked at. Despite what people say, he was genuinely frustrated with his constant injury problems. Nevertheless he really shouldn't have been signed as the injuries were well documented when he was in Aus... On another note, he had a gorgeous girlfriend. Very eastern suburbs! =D

I'm not saying Nero will be a bad signing just I think there is better out there who will be just as affordable.



For me I'd have liked to have tried Hull FC for Yeaman, to me the most under rated centre now that Atkins has gone to the greatest club in the world and suddenly become England's #1 choice.



I still remain extremely concerned about the lack of activity on the hooker front, we need to find a replacement for Mal ASAP.

patten is naff and i dont think he will have an impact or will get injured but wioth signing nero and vinnie you will be a strong side

Now all we need is a top notch hooker who can tie everything together and who knows

Just crossed my mind. Was tried earlier in the season without being particularly successful, but he's quick, strong, got good hands, and with the off season to work on playing acting half back it could be a possibility. Not Sure myself just thought the management might be grooming him for the role.

Im pretty chuffed, heared like everyone about Nero a few weeks ago but he is class, well that is he always scores against us. (Is there such a thing as an own try????)



Anderson is pretty good to and he must want to show Saints and Wire they are wrong to release him.



All we need know is to stop beggin Andrew Ryan and sign Willie Mason or Carl Webb as they are both the type of aggresive forwards we need, who can dish it out!!!!!! We need an enforcer
