Imagine a team reaching a SL Grand Final with say 2/3 players retiring after the match. What detterent is in place to stop these players taking performance enhancing drugs before the final? If they get caught what good would a 2 year ban do?

As has been pointed out it does have its benefits but his punnishment should be a tough one regardless. He is a role model and as such has a responibility to the kids that look up to him.

thats a great call , with being a profession sportsman comes responsibillites , ie setting the right example , and in my book DRUGS ARE FOR MUGS so mr hock you should get the book trown at you , also does this open up a way back in to the challenge cup for salford , was he on drugs when they played us ? i bet he was . you have let all fans of rugby down
