Rumours about Stefan coming home but nothing concrete.



Ed Farish said on Radio Manchester this morning that they are chasing a full back and a centre, and hope to have some new recruits before the end of the season.

Looking at this I can't see it for now anyway. He's contracted to Warrington for a number of years and at this time Warrington are in the mix for trophies. Whilst this could change once we loose our tried and tested senior players, this could coincide with your rise and then the possibility of a return could be on the cards.

Possibly not. Over the past few years, the list of players we've been rumoured to be signing would reach the top of Blackpool Tower. Kevin Sinfield was my favourite, but there's been Paul Wellens, Ade Gardner, Paul Cooke, Luke Robinson, Mark O'Meley, Gareth Hock....on and on. Every one definite, nailed on, from a reliable source. I take them with a pinch of salt the size of a Siberian salt mine.



That said, Stefan is in his second year of whatever deal he's on, and, as we saw with Richie Myler, players can be unsettled by other clubs and almost engineer a move for themselves, particularly if they are close to the end of their contract.



I suspect, though, that the full back and centre we're looking at will be from the NRL.

I can't see it being Stef. He's contracted to Warrington and isn't the type of player to kick up a stink to get a move.

stef wouldnt be the first player to do the salford - warrington u-turn anybody rememember steve blakeley doing it after about 6 months ????????

After yesterday you can have Scott Grix although to be fair he's usually safe at full back.

The Centre would be O'Dwyer ( if he ever makes up his mind )

the full back will be another loan signing from within SL ( hopefully an experienced one with glue on his hands )

I know he's not a big name signing but I'm surprised we've not gone in with a serious bid for Barlow from Halifax

He would add depth to the sqaud and also be an investment to the future, for all the talk of big name players someone like Barlow is an attainable immediate target.

Love all the talk of big name signings but surprised that we are tying up salary funds and quota places signing fringe NRL first grade players to 2-3 year contracts.

Are you sure it's Huddersfield he doesn't appear in their squad list of 29 players? Or was he released maybe last year and is now without a club?

Molloy is a good player, would be surprised if he doesnt have a club already!

I've since read he was released 12 months early from his contract. If he's that good why did you let him go?
