I must say it's nice to see the Club pulling in well known players. More to come apparently, according to Simms on the official site. Hats off to the club for digging deep and really going for it on the recruitment front.

For once in a lot of years I feel confident about the next season because of the stadium and the quality players we are signing up.Could it be that Wilky has got his timing dead right for the next franchise bid? sort of writing off the first two seasons by saving money on wages etc for the third season,knowing the stadium would get started just in time and getting quality players next round of franchises. I believe next season will be a good one .

Nero is miles better than Tyrer.
Andserson is miles better than Sibbit, Littler, Parker.

If they improve on what we already have how can they not be "move forward" signings??

I think they are both good signings...plenty of SL experience between them and they are both good enough players to have been playing consistently at a higher level than we have been. Well done the club for bringing them in.

Bloody Hell..lets at least get them on the pitch dropping balls and knocking on before we boo them. These are two experienced and dare i say it good signings (my opinion you may choose to disagree) and as others have said how are they not improving on what we already have.

Happy with the two new signings with patten and holdsworth could shape up to be a good season next year... Looking forward to seeing what other signings are to be announced!!

Vinnie has been great for us this year - I for one am gutted to see him go!

He ran Monnas very close in the final last year for man of the match, and has filled in for about 10 positions this year.

Even if you only get 2 years out of him, he'll be a great addition.

I'm pleased with both these signings. While obviously not signings that would really be classed as 'major', they're definitely an upgrade on what we have and will add some experience on the field.

We're Salford, not Leeds/Warrington/Wigan - not every player we bring in is going to be a superstar.
