Its the effort that counts. They might only get 5k in.... still a great effort and better than some super league teams despite being a couple of leagues below.

I reckon they will beat that figure. Maybe they can top the champ 1 figure. I doubt they have ever had a 10k+ crowd.

Only in RL could anyone have a problem or a pop at a club for trying to attract more fans to a game





Anyone or anything that attempts to raise the profile of the game should be applauded IMO.....but apparently, not everyone shares this opinion. I hope they get 10k......

Best of luck to them. Hope they get the crowd. But I agree with gutterfax, it's a major failing of RL fans in that as soon as a club tries to better itself then people have to start kicking out at them for it

If they aim for 10,000 and fail , miserably at 5/6,000 , better than aiming for 5,000 and failing at 2,000

How much are match tickets normally at dale? They should charge £3 adults and everyone else in free to try and boost the numbers.

And they pay their players with what ? ' Dolly mixtures ' ?

If they let everyone in free then there'd be no money to give to Mencap. Good idea though if it weren't for the charity aspect. Think it's normally £10 to get in but someone from Hornets may be able to check me on that?



And people can always buy tickets even if they can't attend the game - give a little to Mencap.

But that isn't really the point of the exercise , what Dale are trying to do is to create an ' atmosphere ' at Spotland that will be attractive to bringing people back again , as that is what is missing at most lower tier matches

They wont get 10k but its all about press releases. No point putting one out saying we are hoping for 3,000

Fully agree but there might be a few people who might want to support Mencap and the Hornets but can't go to the game cos their own team is playing at the same time.
