| Gamble I think.
Totally see their argument that a lot of people who may go to the game may instead choose to stay home and watch the Challenge Cup Semi Finals (or even attend them), but moving the game at a couple of weeks notice during the summer holidays may mean people already have plans for the Saturday. Be interested to see the attendance for this one.

| is it no coincidence that Kear is lined up on contract to work for the BBC on Sun 5 August. Kear may av told Charmers that his first priority is to stand by his commitment to BBC who will also pay Kear some good dosh, as they do or did for RHP.
So may be that Kear told club at a late stage to move the game and stand by his commitment to BBC. But why? Has something upset Kear? If he has to choose between upsetting BBC or Bulls, he may be right to choose to not upset the BBC cos they have not gone bust many times or struggle for cash.
The club reason may be true, but it may not be. Bulls fans will or would av turn up on Sun 5 August in any case, so for me I don;t buy the excuse given by the club that its to allow us to watch the Challenge Cup semis. Sounds fishy.

I'm the first to knock the club usually, but if I'm honest, that sounds like tinfoil hat stuff.
There may be something to Kear wanting to work for BBC and not miss the Bulls commitments, so the club have helped him out to acommodate him, but I doubt it's as far as him choosing one over the other in an ultimatum.
