Strong rumours on TRL that John Bateman is/has signed for an NRL team for 2019, likely to be Newcastle or Canberra.



It occurred to me that we are just a hooker short of having a full pack of our ex-Academy players in the NRL. By which I mean: Burgess (T), A.N Other, Burgess (G), Whitehead, Bateman, Burgess (S)



Wonder if anybody out there would take a punt on Adam O'Brien

(unlikely, I know...but who knows?)



Seems strange that clubs like Salford can rumble along in SL without bothering with an Academy

We had the same pack thing last year, when Wardle was at the Knights. Ridiculous, really.

It's sickening as a supporter who goes back to 1964.The CLOWNS who ran this great club into the ground have cost loyal supporters dearly as they could have expected to watch the great talent the BULLS have unearthed play in front of a packed stadium at Odsal for the last 7/8 years at least.Instead here we are playing Coventry in front of a few thousand hardy souls.Let's hope the club climbs back up the ladder to SL.We have a chance with JK in charge to reach a point where we can keep the young players we nurture at the club long term instead of improving SL clubs to the detriment of ours.Even with a slip up or two,the signs are better than they have been for quite a while.

I think Bateman will go well in the NRL. His workrate and ability to always be in the thick of things reminds me a little of Glen Morrison - he's sort of Morro but with added attitude..

I hope if he does go to the NRL he is used in the back row instead of at centre!

He reminds me more of Van Morrison.

Not too sure of his musical ability, tbh but he certainly sings in the second row.
