| Can we just get this straight. Can someone tell me what happens to our on contract players if we stay in super league and are taken over.
Will they stay under contract at the bulls, I hope so because we have a special group of players at the moment. Thank you

| if you are taken over and not reformed as a newco then the players contracts remain in force as long as the new owners don't make a major change to the terms of employment.

| Good question and good answer from Pie Warrior. We just need to be taken over soon. a) so we can try and keep our players who must now be either fixed up elsewhere or worrying about next seasons income and b) recruitment and retention for next season. But all of that depends on which league we are in. Come on and tell us!

it's common knowledge one of the directors of Keighley Cougars is part of one of the consortiums which as placed an interest(bid) to purchase the Bulls- Think one of his companies HQs are based in Bradford. Will try find out a bit more detail. :

Is that the Bfd City bid, the Park Avenue bid or the Khan/Sutcliffe bid? I don't know where it's "common knowledge" but it's certainly not round here where the only thing which is truly common knowledge is that no-one knows anything about any of the bids - other than the lead names. Incidentally, I'm certainly not depressed about it - if true we'll welcome any genuine person who wishes to come on board.

I can imagine a big international brewer putting money into a soccer club, though I confess my first thoughts would be that it would be one with a slightly higher profile than a conference club, but the idea they would give them cash to finance the takeover of another club, in a different sport (and one unknown, AFAIK, in Denmark) does leave me somewhat open mouthed, I must say. Still as no-one is telling us anything we'll take what snippets we can get, I guess - however unlikely!!

Although Carlsberg do also own Tetleys who are involved in quite a bit of RU Sponsorship. Whether they're looking for some high profile RL sponsorship/ownership is anyone's guess!

An angle I hadn't considered.
Carslberg (via Tetley's) already sponsor us don't they - Tetley's Stand? It'll teach me to to think a little more laterally.
