| Just watchin the semi final and super sam has gifted leeds 2 trys, first one fair enough dropped catch, second one yes it was a forward pass but you can't leave your marker to run at the ref in order to bitch to him, rule 101 play until the whistle he and hock left a hole large enough for a bus to drive through. How can that not he left in punished if they aren't English and the golden boy he would have got dissent for that.

I've read this a few times and I still can't work out what you're saying.

| Well played Leeds, deserved the win today. Wigan were all over the place in the first 20 mins.
But some shockingly bad refereeing decisions once again.

You mean you turned over after the 2nd half and didn't see the 3rd half in which we took the score up to 66, bloody coverage on the Beeb eh?

That's when they could be bothered showing it after the golf. Poor display by the nation's broadcaster.

| Yes the coverage of both matches looked like an afterthought which is surprising when you think there wasn't that many other big events on this weekend. Yet equally for semi's contested by clubs at the top end of the league not very big gates? My memory might be going but I am sure the Bulls v Leeds semi in the '90s had bigger crowds and the worst thing about the Beeb coverage were the shots of a completely empty stand at the Huddersfield ground.

It is hard to understand how two clubs each averaging 15k home support can't muster more than 12k between them for a semi-final.

| The problem is the planning of the whole thing. You seem to get matches regularly and then when it is getting towards the climax of the competition you go almost 6 weeks before the semi's and then another 6 before the final. The whole competition is at the whim of the BBC and even so you can tell by the w/e coverage that it is very low on ther list of priorities. The CC has well and truly been replaced as the premier knockout comp by the play-offs in bot SL and Championship

Or not. All you needed to do to watch as normal was exert a tiny force upon your red button using a digit of your choice. If you had your remote to hand, you didn't even need to get off your arrse. How that can be seen as a slight on the game frankly baffles me.
If a Cup Final went to extra time, would you want the Beeb to stick with it, at the expense of whatever was scheduled next? Well then, why would they not extend the same courtesy to another sporting event which had ended in a tie? Or is to OK in your book to fsck off any sports fans, as long as they aren't RL fans?

Nonsense. They should have moved the golf to the Red button and showed the RL at the advertised time. If it was the Open I could understand but this was a nothing tournament but seemingly far more important than a RL Semi Final. I was in a pub expecting it to come and missed the first 5 minutes because I had to go and get the barmaid to find the remote and then find where the box was to use the Red button.
And what about RL fans who have taped the game because they are unable to watch it live. Will they not be fscked off when they see golf instead of the amazing game of RL they were expecting?

It was the Scottish Open.
Anyone who set their box to record will have recorded the right thing, not the golf.
Anyone who still uses tape has my admiration, but I don't think it's reasonable for the BBC to cater for approx. 3 people.
You should not be so dismissive of fans of other sports. Golf is pretty popular I hear and if you were fair you could equally say would golf fans not be fscked off when they saw RL instead of the finale ie playoff in the golf they were expecting. I would of course personally prefer the rugby league, but don't see why you are assuming that it has some sort of droit du seigneur to ride roughshod over others, that's all.
