There is definitely a bus going to Castleford for the boxing day friendly.

It departs from Odsal at 10:30am

Unfortunately they have had to pay a lot more money than normal for the bus as the driver is on overtime!

Consequently the price is £13 for a bus ticket.



At least if you live in the Odsal area you have the convenience of getting to and from the game without the hassle of a skeleton public service and a 2/3 bus trip each way.

How long will the coach wait after the game?

The bus parks in the carpark behind the away end so it's not far away. If you have a word with the driver and say you might need a few minutes to get back I'm sure it won't be a problem.

Speaking from experience, the chances are he won't be the last back anyway!!

I haven't been on the bus since they didn't turn up for the Hull game nine years ago so it'll be steping back in time for myself as when I was too young to go to games on my own my dad always took me on the supporters coach to Barrow, Workington, London, Widnes, Hull etc.



I was the fat lad in the Purple and Green Northern shirt always asking about the referee and where he came from and if if would let us win today.

Ah so the obsession with refs started at a young age eh?

I just liked to know where he was from and who he had previously played for as I really only picked this up when in a Pub in Barrow around 1993/1994 and my dad and his mates talking about Russell Smith and why he shouldn't of officiated Northern games when he had played for the Colts and then turned sour when he was told he wasn't good enough etc.

Nope. At Castleford that's usually Blotto stalking the players as they leave and get on the team bus which normally parks next to us!

Funnily enough Cas is one place I don't go with the coach to. Like you say the coaches will be parked right next to the railway end (where most away fans go) at the Jungle, but Cas have this strange method of encouraging people to use public transport by insisting that nearly all the cars have left the car park before allowing the buses to move.



It's a few years since I went on the coach to Cas so it might have changed, though it shouldn't be a massive issue for a friendly!
