No they aren't. They're just taking cheats and those who don't care about the safety of other players out of the game.

Drug taking is rife amongst RL players, performance enhancing and recreational. I know we like to think of our sporting heroes as all living the clean life law and abiding citizens but I'm afraid it isn't true. They are just normal people that live normal lives and that often involves mixing with the 'wrong' kind of people as I'm sure many of us on here have experienced. Young men doing things that lots of young men do, drink, drugs, sex and rock and roll.



This is why think sportsmen and women should not be classed as role models and think it's ridiculous when folks hammer them for not being a role model.

There is of course nothing to say any alleged behaviour (which is not proved until an admission of guilt or a second test is carried out) began after any player started any contract.



No one knows anything yet but what a player may or may not choose to do in his private life is not down to any club he may be or may have been contracted to play for if that makes sense.

Havent they already completed the testing (the tests were in November after all)? The reports I read seemed to be suggesting that guilt has already been proved, it was just a case of the RFL formally confirming the suspension?



Unless there is evidence that one club encouraged the drug taking I think it is fairly pointless trying to point a finger at either Bradford or Wakefield rather than just the player himself.



In the case of Ryan Hudson, didnt he admit that his downfall arose because of a desire to make a good initial impression at a new club, something for which neither is new or old club could be blamed.

As much as did not think Terry Newton did much for us in the last year we should at least give him the benefit of the doubt until we find out what substance he has taken.
