He's a young lad carrying the weight of the fans expectations on him does he need the extra burden as captain I don't think that he does. Give him another 2 to 3 years and IMO he will be the ideal candidate.

Indeed, he doesn't need an armband to do that, and the players can take a lead and be inspired by a team-mate whether he has that armband on or not.



I think fans make too much of who the captain is, a balanced team in terms of characters is much more important than something symbolic.

The best game I've seen Daecon have in recent years,IIRC, was when they made him captain at Leeds away. His comitment that day was excellent,he needs to show that again to maintain his place & the captaincy.
