Enemy?



We are only Bradfords enemy if we draw you in the Challenge cup, otherwise you are just another team who plays in a different league, about 8 miles from Halifax.

SKY may have successfully brainwashed a lot of people, but some us know who our true rivals are.

I have never been able to raise even the slightest ire about Halifax at any point since 1980. The most animosity I've been able to raise towards them had more to do with the amount of rain that fell on my head one Boxing Day in the final years of Thrum Hall.

Each to their own I guess, but the mere sight of a letter H has me foaming at the mouth.

You had better not look over in my direction on Friday evening. I'll be the one in the stand wearing my Halifax scarf....... Dont want you having a seizure.

In my experience the vitriol from Fax fans has always been worse than any ill feeling we've sent in their direction, witness the "retards" insult in the Fax programme for instance.



However that issue was long ago put to bed and I had no qualms about supporting them financially when they were 3 weeks from closure a few years back.

Neither did I and a few mates. It wasnt done patronisingly just that not to assist in such a great clubs survival would have been unthinkable.

Great memories of truly uncompromising (nay, brutal) matches usually played at Odsal in a quagmire.

You dont have to tell me. I sit amongst some fans who still hate Bradford with a passion and cant really understand why I go to so many Bradford games, but thankfully they are a small minority.



I do tell them, that its not Afghanistan or Iraq and nobody gets killed, its just a game of rugby and the Bulls are in a different league to us, so we dont even have any friendly rivalry at the moment.



If we ever get back in to Superleague then I will shout for Halifax all the way when we play Bradford, but I will still want them to do well in all other games.

Fax did a lot of things badly when they were in SL, but not everything was wrong.







They had the cheek to pass a bucket collection around in my local, there was a fair bit inside so I nicked it.
