...but does anyone know what was 'System888' that filled the scoreboard for 5 minutes?

it was code for...potter get ya coat.

It is an emergency event test they have to undertake to tick a box in the health & safety regulations. It happens about twice a season and has been happening for many years now.

I thought it was &hit tonight, seen much better - the Stewards just didn't seem interested.



System 750 is much better, and a crowd pleaser to boot as well.

It was the signal to start booing the home team.



I believe there was also a false alarm at half time.

Seems to happen every time I've been to Knowsley Road. I just assume it's to tell the stewards that the kettle's boiled, so don't hang about when the hooter sounds for half time.
