That's a good point about The xx as they have followed the same formula for the album (for me I like the 2nd more) but they are similar but at least they haven't fallen into the trap of the '2nd album syndrome' of a poor follow up |

The Lumineers is the next in line of singalongsong quasi folk drivel to be filed alongside Mumford and Sons as being just bland.
On the point of Mumford and Sons, Babel is one of the most tedious albums released this year. All very samey. Start slow, build, say "I will" and then end. Throw in a banjo and some waistcoats, hey you're rootsy folk. No, you're to music what beige is trousers. |
