Personally I was just thinking the other day how quiet it's been from all clubs about new signings for 2017. Hull have just announced Josh Griffin from Salford but can't really think of anymore. Obviously Charnley and Sarginson are departing Wigan but not heard of any potential replacements coming in.

Yes absolutely correct. And we don't need a whole host of signings either.We need a half and a hooker they are the obvious areas to target.



Any other signings would be dependant on who may leave but there should be no reason to panic buy just for middle 8s.

I like the idea of Buderus, with Sinfield running the youth side. If not Buderus then someone strong and can instil a new ethos. Toovey would work, Robinson would have been good. Not British though, and not a prop for me.

Lack of decent tackling is hurting us more than lack of signings.

Unless a decent half is available now, i wouldn't bother making signings. Mac needs to decide who is McGuire's partner, and stick with him. Also, (like him or not) we need to also play Falloon in these last few regular season games. We need cohesion.



As for a new coach, it won't happen this year. Dunemann is an interesting shout for 2017.

Leeds need a new prop, hooker and halfback.

I think we are OK at prop, we have six (cuthbertson, Galloway , Garbutt , mullally, Singleton and baldwinson) .



Hooker I agree with , while I think Falloon needs more time and hasn't been any worse than others he was always a stop gap panic buy imo.

We need a quality hooker, the money from Falloon and Achurch should cover that.



As for HB I do think we need a good organiser and kicker to take Sinfield old role and allow sutty and Lilley to develop.

However we do sign one I think either McGuire or burrow will be out of a place and therefore moved on.

If you look at the fundamentals of the team they're strong. It's in key areas we lack, compounded by the injury crisis that means we're putting out a second team, with nobody to effectively lead them around the park. McGuire it is clear cannot move us around on his own, and does not warrant a place in the team for his pace, agility and support running any more. Falloon it's become quite clear isn't good enough. There's plenty of quality there. The key signings we need are:



1. A stand off to move the team around the park. To support Sutcliffe & Lilley's development as our planned long-term combo. Looking at Super League, Brough or Brown would be ideal.



2. A hooker to give us some defensive solidity in the middle and something out of dummy half. If we can prize Danny Houghton away from Hull FC, or Shaun Lunt from Hull KR, we should.



3. A new solid workaday prop, to allow Cuthbertson to play loose and Ferres, Ablett and Ward to cover the 3 interchanging SR positions. Luke Burgess is quite likely available. If not this then another mobile second rower who can bring some impact off the bench. Delaney & JJ lack mobility and Keinhorst is never going to change a game.

But Mac will say 'no regrets' and when he gets a fill squad to choose from 'my ship is coming in'

whats more worrying is our championship rivals are recruiting in preparation for the middle 8s. They clearly sense a chance to get out of the league at our expense and they may well be right. Our MD doesnt seem to realise the precarious position the entire business is in never mind the team. We know form his email that the team is priority 4 of 4 but the financial consequences of relegation should mean hes having sleepness nights but clearly not.

So because he doesn't say it in an public e-mail he obviously isn't worried by our position? Ok then.

Leeds are pretty much up against the salary cap - this is why the Ferres deal was only a one year one despite Leeds paying a transfer fee. The only way significant new signings can brought in is likely through players leaving or being released. This may be why Hardaker leaving is in the best interests of both parties.
