Widnes are in but Halifax can still go forward with all the existing SL clubs for the remaining 13 places.

the super leagues clubs agree there should be only 14 clubs wakefield put in their application yesterday and that halifax may yet still replace someone and at least one club will lose it licence

Made decision now to give widnes time to build and prepere for SL. Why havent they made all the decisions now then. If Fax go forward and get a licence why should they be given less time to prepere than Widnes?

Nah, they've won SL. No reason to kick them out. Warrington have had their chance. Time to give Fax a go. If we're losing Wakefield we'll be down to only 6 Yorkshire clubs too. That's far to far away from "half" as far as I'm concerned. With Fax back in it would address the balance.

Looking forward to seeing Widnes in SL next season.

That's the process. Are you suggesting that Halifax cannot now under any circumstance gain a SL license for the next three years?



The remaining 13 will be handed out at the end of July. That's still before clubs are allowed to officially contact player's coming out of contract so Halifax in theory would not be disadvantaged if learning of their inclusion at that time.



I'm not saying that it will happen either (I don't think it will) but a lot could change in three months and Halifax meet the criteria set so still have a chance.
