with certain players looking jaded or unfit how many players should we rest and who when we play blackpool?



personally i'd like to see webb,senior,bailey and jjb given a week off to recharge or get fitter

Blackpool maybe in C1 but they are as good as a mid table team or better in the C. Personally id rest the minimum amount of players and hope for a decent win. Last thing you need is half a team of kids when the team isnt high on confidence anyway. Use the game to try to play into a bit of form.

You may find Bailey will be 'rested' for the next few weeks.

Any official word on it or just what has been said on here?

I'd maybe add little Robbie to that list as well.

During the post-match interview on the website McClennan said he didn't expect either Bailey or Burrow to feature next week.

Bring Bush, Clarkson, Amor, Ambler etc in, give them a run out.

i can confirm bailey suffered a discolated shoulder last night....so will defo b out next week and prob the week after

Who we play at half back (assuming Burrow's out) may be interesting - Sinfield & McGuire or McGuire & Webb. I'd be inclined to go for the latter, allowing Sinfield to play loose forward. I'd be tempted to rest some people (Senior, JJB, Peacock) and possibly go for:



Smith; Bush, Delaney, Coady, Hall; McGuire, Webb; Leuluai, Buderus, Burgess, Kirke, Pitts, Sinfield. subs: Lauitiiti, Clarkson, Ambler, Amor.

I may even be tempted to rest hall, didn't he pick up a bang? But as previosly stated don't wanna take Blackpool too lightly could get egg on our face

Looks like Panthers are taking the same stance. According to Blackpool local paper MC will make 6 changes for the cup game. Admittedly that is me baffled!?

All I hope for is we're not totally thrashed and can then get back on with the main aim for the season.

Amor played for Whitehaven in the last round against Blackpool so I'd imagine he's now cup tied?

Play the best team you can put out. You can then try any set moves that you have been working on in training. build up a bit of confidence to implemement the moves.

How often do you find your boss saying have a rest?

I have a feeling we may see Donald back for a run out here so i would put Smith full back.Give McGuire a rest and putt Webb and stand off with Sinfield scrum half.Give Senior a rest not sure who would play there. I think all the fit forwards will play barring Bailey.

Don't be silly. Players constantly moan about the amount of matches they play. Bluey only last week was talking about how tiring it is after the easter weekend to then back up for this millenium weekend.



We rest as many as we can. Out of 17 players, if 10 were from the reserves, we should still be beating a side like Blackpool at home by a reasonable margin.



Senior, Delaney, Hall, Burrow, Bailey, Diskin, JJB, should all be rested this week, and lets put out a side that allow's that to happen.

I posted last week tvoc on the thread about that, that the announcement from the club was rubbish. It was out of date.



Whether that means Eastwood and Donald will play this week, I have no idea, but both players will be back quicker than that announcement from the club.
