I suspect you are correct. If we're not subsidising his wages, and I were Jack, I'd have played in the reserves to prove my fitness and waited for a chance at Leeds or with another SL club. It's hard to believe that he's taken such a wage cut when it wasn't necessary at a time of a cost of living squeeze.

Crikey if that's the case it sounds like he's already of the mind that his body just isn't up to the demands of SL. Really feel for him and hope he comes back strong and can stay that way but that's quite a telling comment for someone still s young in the game.

Very good signing for Bradford if he stays fit. Usually the better Bulls players are released to other clubs, nice to see the reverse happening here.

Yep. I for one would like to see the Bulls back as a force in the game. Although their decline was largely self-imposed nobody can argue it hasn't been a big loss for SL.

He missed the whole of 2021 and then suggests the club should have given him another 6 months? I get it from his perspective, but in pro sport actually being able to play matters.



He uses the example of Ponga, but despite the rest Ponga was given he continually breaks down. If he wasn't such a good player he would have been dumped and he's one of the worst value players in the NRL for his club due to lack of games.



Walker needs to concentrate on getting fit and trying to develop his game, particularly passing. Myler is also small and not lightning fast but he has great hands and just helps the team flow. No reason why Walker couldn't develop the same sort of skills if he works at it.

Awful for him. Brutal reality is that he's a big injury risk for any club to have on their books. He's had long-term injuries with us, got injured at Hull and now Bradford. I genuinely hope he gets through this and somehow manages to have a long run without injury.

I think we're past the point of calling it bad luck now. As harsh as it sounds, some players' bodies just aren't up to the rigors of intense sports. Gary Wheeler was another one, decent player but his body just couldn't cut it.

Being smashed around by blokes 10 years older, and 10 to 20kgs heavier at 17 won't have helped. I've said it a few times, but the days of 16 and 17 year olds playing professional RL should be left in the past.

His injuries had nothing to do with that. Freak foot injury, now hamstring trouble. Just unlucky +++
