Trebor1: chapylad: Well I`ve been away for 3 weeks and so impressed with the results we have produced during that time. After being on the go for almost 30 hours and arriving home yesterday with a chuffing flu virus I was determined to watch the game. Couldn`t believe the Meslier howler and was starting to think it`s me jinxing the team. But a top class team performance got us home comfortably in the end. Firpo my MoM. Losing Ampadu is going to be a blow as Gruev doesn`t appear up to it. Agree Hamer should have got a second yellow for the foul on Rodon. Tanaka no way a yellow. Good substitutions again by Farke. Shame that Joseph just doesn`t seem to be the player I thought he would be. Rodon very good at the back again.
Hope you had a good one mate, holiday ?? Always trust an airplane to spread a load of bugs around! 12 games left, if Ampadu needs an Op, i cant see him playing again this season.. Yes mate spending some of my NHS pension after 42 years in the rat race and treating the other half to a big 60 birthday on a cruise around SE Asia.So annoyed I didn`t take my LU scarf and post whites on tour in Singapore, Malaysia, Brunei, Philippines etc. Think we caught the bug either on the ship and if we didn`t nearly everyone around us on the plane was coughing their guts out! Some excellent results but the next 2 or 3 could be pivotal as expectations are higher. My worry apart from Meslier of course is an injury at CH and we are up the creek. I also think Albion will be quite physical on Saturday and hope the ref gets on top of it early doors. Meslier will also have his work cut out at set pieces Saturday.

| I agree. WBA and then 3 awkward games in 6 days are crucial. I'd take 5 points from those 3 games if I'm honest

Looks like Ampadu could be back in 4 weeks.. good news and fingers crossed. A win tomorrow would be lovely... need to get up for it after the last 2 huge games. I'd 1 million percent start Rothwell, get the game won then rest legs if we can.

Seems like mixed messages regarding Ampadu or maybe how we are interpreting them. If rehab goes well I reckon he`s out for around 8 games. However there needs to be an element of good luck and his own healing process otherwise he could be out for the season.Next 3 games all winnable but equally could be banana skins. I also see Farke saying Gruev can play centre half and has done so at international level.

Yes agree Struijk was poor and I always comment he has a mistake in him. Thought Ramazani might have come on for James or Aaronsson.Sheffield closing the gap and I know we thumped them the other night but do think they will win the league which I know won`t go down well.Reverse psychology here!

We would all have taken victories over Mackems and Blunts and just a point today a couple of weeks back. Some teams just suss us, and West Brom did today. When you don’t have a functioning centre forward and the inverted winger doesn’t work, along with a sketchy no 10 all combined in one game you will sometimes struggle. We only scored one lucky penalty over 4 games against Burnley and Blackburn so this is nothing new. What counts is that you collect enough points from the teams that don’t suss you and bingo you’re going up.

it's not hard to suss us out. at this stage everyone knows how everyone plays. overload the wide areas on defence and force us inside. Sunderland did it for so long.today solomon and especially james were way off the pace and wasteful. it happens. nobody plays well every week. I'm surprised. farke didn't freshen it up more or swop both wingers earlier on. let ramazani and gnonto have longer

Yes after some shrewd substitutions previously I was surprised he didn`t freshen it up especially as Gnonto did well when he came on against Sheffield and Ramazani has hardly had a kick for a while now.We need players match fit and like Tad has said we looked leggy and James/Solomon weren`t doing it for me.
