The injury curse is certainly hitting hard this season especially harder with a very lightweight squad.

Really praying lack of investment in Jan doesn't haunt us come season end....

I know at the risk of sounding negative but from what I have seen I still don`t think we will make the top two.

Like you have said lack of investment and a thin squad won`t help in this league.

Other teams in the top 6/7 have strengthened and brought in experience to see them in with a chance.

Sheffield for instance with their current strike force brought in another striker and were able to leave Sharpe on the bench last weekend.

Brown needs to play this weekend to soften the blow of losing Roofe.

Agreed. It's absolutley criminal we didn't replace Saiz imo. We have the weakest squad out of the top 4 teams but we have the best manager/coach. It will be a very Intersting run in. For me if we don't get promoted serious questions have to be asked of the owners.

I know Bielsa is no doubt the best manager in the league.

But is there an arrogance or more likely a naivety that he can get the team promoted without adding to the squad?

Has he been knocking the door down insisting he needs more players?

I personally think he made a mistake admitting to sending someone to spy on all his opponents.

This gives them time to change things round every time they play Leeds.

He likes a small squad doesn't he but it's clear he wanted to bring in someone in Jan. I'm just frustrated with the board as if we'd have not peed about with Dan James fee we could have brought him in or at least got one other in. We'd the league if we had west broms squad.

nothing to do with the board. bielsa only wanted James and everything was agreed money wise. Swansea were at fault

Leeds should have had a plan b and had given Swansea an early deadline or we move on. We had to make sure we took no risks with the squad. I'm sure bielsa wouldn't have turned down a couple of quality additions.

I think people get so caught up in the Bielsa thing to be honest. If we do choke and don't go up, personally I would put all of that on Bielsa, not the board. He is quite stubborn in what he does, and is fixed on the choices he wants to make, whether the board had put alternative signings to him or not. There is no doubting the positive changes he has made, and hence the god like status. However, there is also a reason he has never won anything.



Personally I think the board though should have over ruled him and made the signings required, rather than what the manager wanted, in this particular case.
