| Good to see a few votes for Gilmour....utterly mesmerising!
Any Floyd fans would do well to check out the Australian Pink Floyd on that there video sharing site...their version of Comfortably Numb is pretty damn special.
Have seen Floyd live twice and a number of other tribute acts but these guys are the real deal.
Got my ticket for Sheffield arena in April.
Cannot wait!

If i exclude everything by Angus Young then i wil go for Van Halen's Eruption the version on the original album.I remember hearing a demo of this before it was released and could not believe what i was hearing. In fact the whole album in the context of the time it was released was awsome.
Songs that changed music like Numb, Floyd and Skyn's Freebird take some beating but it is difficult to pick out one Hendrix track.
The best guitarist in Leeds by a long chalk and only 21

I hate that cacking song. Some ar$e would always put it on the jukebox in the Uni bar - it got played at least 10 times a day by hippy 70's rejects that used to hide in dark corners sipping snakebite.
Solo from "Waiting for an Alibi" Thin Lizzy is my favourite. Most epic solo for me is La Villa Strangiato, the way Lifeson takes it from slow and mellow to fast and brutal is unmatched. The live version is truly extraordinary.

Me too
I have a friend who thinks its the best piece of music ever written in the world, ever.
It was good listening to it in the sixth form block all those years ago, but its off-the-shelf standard formula guitar playing in the same style as many American "rock" bands are.
